We loved using thse before we switched to a VOIP system. They have a lot of adjustments to be made for both incoming and outgoing volumes/tone. Our agents loveed their ease of use and the self contained units had everything needed for adjustments (no hunting for small screwdrivers, etc)
Overall good product. Setting up for a different type of phone line was quick and easy.I have two issues with this device:- an AC adapter is not included in the package.- It was not stated that you don't necessarily need a Plantronics headset to connect the amplifier (which resulted in me buying one, when I already had one from a different brand)
This is the 2nd one I ordered from Amazon.com. I had used this headset for a long time and I know it is a good product. I had problem with the first amplifier I ordered, I finally had to go through Plantronics and they gave me a refurbished one. On the 2nd one, so far I haven't had any problem.
I've always loved plantronics - people have told me that my voice goes in and out as i'm speaking to them - something I never incurred in the past. Who knows.
It will earn a full 5 stars if it comes with the power supply (need to purchase separately but I found using the included 2AA batteries is sufficient)and has a outbound volumn control for the headset and a call pick up button. I purchased it with the Plantronics H261N headset. I like the function of this amplifer, the mute button and incoming voice volumn adjustment. This way, I don't need to lift the phone handle to receive and end a call. Note: you need to follow the instruction to adjust (from the side) the dial in order to get/prompt a dial tone from your phone.
